Good digging...all of his connections require investigation, especially if they share similar disturbing pictures/posts/comments or like the same on the social networks.

That didn't seem helpful and could cause problems for any of those friends and family who aren't involved. I think it is dangerous to put all of his contacts in the same basket, especially when no evidence.

These were on their public posts/profiles, something they chose to reveal and share. The ones in the "basket" are those who make disturbing comments/posts on social media. Just leads to keep in mind in the investigation. Leads, rather than guilty by association. This is the exact way that an investigation is to proceed...finding those who appear to be relevant and digging.
