I'm very concerned about the number of cases there could be that we don't know about that have excused people from ever finding out about the offense. Pre-trial diversion and a class B misdemeanor in Texas that's less harsh than what you get on a first offense DWI, which has no opportunity for pre-trial diversion. If you plead guilty you get a conviction not a deferred adjudication. I think for any sex related crime like this there should never be a pre-trial diversion program. I'm normally on the side of the accused, innocent unless proven guilty - but it seems wrong to be allowing a guilty person to get a clean slate on his record for a sex related crime. I think this needs to change. If you're really that hard up for sex go get a girlfriend or something, there are lots of women online desperate for a boyfriend. Why go after a whore? I guess they just get a kick out of it? IDK I can't understand the mindset at all.

Sentences for sexual abuse are ridiculously low even in the US.

This guy Perlitz who abused over 100 boys in Haiti only got 19 years.

19 years. For traumatizing a hundred people for life, a large percentage of whom will become abusers themselves.

Btw lenient sentencing for sex offenders particularly pedos is common throughout the Western world. Probably because the judiciaries are deeply compromised themselves.
