I bet the money was going right to law enforcement to keep them silent. Now that the funds aren't coming in they shut it down.

I think what's happening here is that Clinton Cash keeps law enforcement and prying eyes at bay with bribes and influence peddling. When the Clinton Cash dries up and goes away, those protections break down and embolden, or permit, local law enforcement to act.

I never looked at these busts that way before. It's a very valid theory.

I think whats happening is they are arresting the low level traffickers, who may know more than they should (or the 'Elite' would like them to know) so you arrest them to make sure they don't try to talk/spill the beans/sell their secrets/try blackmail the 'Elite'.

Interrogation goes like this: "Who do you work for?" "I have a contact, she's with the Clinton Founda..." BAM "Wrong answer ASSHOLE!" THUD WACK BZZZZZZ "Who do you work for?" "No body! I swear! I work alone!"
