It show the thought that goes into her works and her seriousness of purpose. If you just read about her stuff, it can sound quite juvenile or shocking for shocking sake. And tons of other performance artists have learned the worst or most shallow lessons from her pieces.

And you can see why people are attracted to her work and why people are repelled by her work. Sometimes both. But there's definitely something that sets her work apart. Her pieces often deal with her fears and she works through some scary stuff in her work. Check out this piece. Real bow. Real arrow. I would try once more, and drop it for awhile. Some people are just not ready for what we are having to deal with. Move on to the next one. My sister in law was a Bernie voter, but then did vote for HRC and now she says Oh, I just can''t believe the Clintons would do THAT! We can just imagine how we will gloat when we are all proven right!
