Can anyone postulate as to why groups like these "hype" their releases rather than just releasing the information at their disposal? What is the benefit of "building up" to a release of data? Who benefits in this particular case?

I think the Idea behind this move is to use the announcement on a mainstream channel like Hannity to stake one career on the line, make it seem legitimate, also is just one day, not some zombie wikileaks vault7shit
