I just had a flash back to a movie I saw a few years back called 'I Origins' . It reminds me a lot of the connections to this Coloboma theory, and maybe the possible reasons behind why Soros might.... seek out this eye defect?

It's all about a grad student researching the evolution of the eye, in order to prove religion wrong once and for all (in his mind). He has a fleeting romance with a woman with distinctive eyes. In later years, he is looking through a newly established Retina scan image database (hmmm...) and happens to find a young girl in India with the exact same eye distinct eye pattern as the woman. They become friends at the end of the movie.

Could be worth others watching it (it was an entertaining film!) and see if they make anything of it.

My 4th grade teacher whom I still keep in touch with on FB has it. I always remember her pupil looked like a broken egg yolk. Had no idea there was a special meaning behind it.

I recently saw Chinatown and Faye Dunnaway made a big deal of it, complete with making a 'j' gesture and saying 'like a hook'. Really stood out, acting wise.
