I'm inclined to think this was poor driving skills on the part of Paul Walker's buddy...it was not Walker's car they were driving in, and it was an older Porsche that was known for being unstable with an untrained driver. So, remote hijacking is unlikely due to the age of the vehicle and a drone strike is very unlikely considering that it happened in the daytime with a bunch of witnesses...that being said, Paul Walker must have been a really cool dude. Never heard a bad thing about him, other than that he was estranged from his daughter for a while, but they had spent a lot more time together right before his death.

EDIT: Hastings was straight up murdered...
