She is a woman of high integrity as evidenced by her clear voice opposing child trafficking and human trafficking violations in war zones, abroad and here in the US. If we lose Dr. McKinney, we lose a strong fearless fighter for human rights(we have so few left in this world). You are making a huge mistake, I will boycott KPFK and stop listening and will convince all my peers to do so until you give McKinney her show back. Woman with high morals and integrity are very hard to come by, your station shouldn’t be willing to sacrifice her because she is a priceless asset. I firmly believe your station is showing its true colors by denying Dr. McKinney’s freedom of speech. I’m very disappointed in your station.

Management Change at KPFK-FM Los Angeles

Los Angeles – KPFK-FM will have a new general manager, effective immediately.

Senior Producer Christine Blosdale will be stepping into the general manager role temporarily, for a period anticipated to be 4-8 weeks, until a longer-term interim general manager is selected. Blosdale has been a long-time employee of the station, and her success in fundraising for KPFK has been widely noted.

Interim Executive Director Bill Crosier commented: “KPFK is an important part of the Pacifica Foundation, and is our biggest and most powerful station in the second largest media market in the United States. The station has been through some difficult times recently.
