Quarantining Outrage: the media narrative to consign abuse to past history ( pizzagate )

This is not blockbusting investigative breakthrough, but its an interesting observation of the games being played by the media in trying to maintain or massage the narrative regarding child sexual abuse

I've noticed a distinct trend by the media to imply that sexual abuse of children was 'something that hapenned back then' but certainly we can presume 'it stopped now because we're much more civilised now than we were a decade or two ago'

look at this Jimmy Saville story - it talks about his abuses in the 80's, as if the calendar flipped over to 1990 and he said to himself 'had my fill, think I'll become a model citizen now'

It is hugely angering and frustrating and real but no one feels they can touch the present and survive. Soft kills (ruining your life/career/relationships, gang-stalking mental and emotional health, etc) and hard kills (physical death) are real.

they aren't going to implicate themselves, and past cases are easily brushed aside due to statute of limitations, and they can use someone elses crimes to deflect or conceal suspicion of their own misdeeds. Look how confusing it was having Beau Biden prosecuting child molesters when a closer look shows his dad is a creepy fuck.
