He is recusing himself from investigations involving Trump's campaign, which seems reasonable. I'm not really sure what investigation there is to be had, besides trying to pretend like Russian agents were secretly running the campaign.

I'm going to think positively and hope he's not announcing that he's going to step down but rather that he's announcing some serious investigation(s) or otherwise addressing the tack his office is intending to take.

This is just the second in what will soon become a long list of political assassinations that the Obama admin left preparations for, like land mines in a field.
