Whatever the excuse given, this really does show that the Catholic Church isn't as concerned about infants as they pretend. They were just dumped into a Limbo Pit, probably no Christian burial. Too expensive, too illegitimate and they just couldn't be bothered. Couldn't they even mark the area as a cemetery somewhere? Or were the infants just too illegitimate and unbaptized to bother?
