Why did the judge mandate disclosure of the code. There seems to be a compelling case for the FBI to keep secret the code that enabled it to capture the IP details. They could manage discovery through access to the defense under strict controls. It just makes you wonder if this is more effort to provide cover? What is the point of the capability if a defendant can have the case tossed to protect a capability that can result in a conviction to protect the capability?
