The '222' is short for 'Two Is Too Young To Die' an ebook published by an author by the name of 'JB Smeary', now revealed to be a man named Daniel Marion Mitchell Jr who was also known under the name 'Trolley Rulle'.

The book, as he confessed, was written to frame a YouTuber named 'Montagraph' as a deranged child killer who, in the book, claims responsibility for the murder of child beauty pageant star JonBenet Ramsey on the early hours of Christmas morning 1996.

The group is basically gone and has had its hayday around early 2014 to late 2015 and became a laughing stock to people on Masterchan who dismissed them as kind of 'Edgelords gone wild'.

There were a certain amount of people who felt insecure about the '222 crew'/ '222 cult' but really all they did was post pictures from the latest news on children that had been found dead or had gone missing then respond with '222' or 'respect'.

The group's catchphrase was "You may not like it but you will learn soon not to disrespect it. 222 Respect."

Not much in the end to see here, just an ebook author who wanted attention and liked to start fights with people on line and a group of people who decided to be ultra edgy.

In the end no one is hurt, but there just wasn't that much real-life consequence to the groups short-lived existence which left the internet with a resounding 'meh'.

222 apparently can also, if this is to be believed, be tied to a confession by the killer of Jon Benet Ramsey. Coincidentally, this confession was, for whatever reason, mailed to Trump's attorney. Photo is included proving they sent something certified to NY, along with a couple of emails (WARNING: disturbing, non CP image also included.)

They also claim someone was threatening them while calling while posing (spoofing) Trump's number, among others.
