That guy is Matthew Lessner. After spending the last hour looking at his tiny, lame footprint in filmography (two films and three 15-minute or less shorts) with many lackluster reviews, it's difficult to understand why he's ever received any accolades at all. Kinda like, why is a pizza shop owner listed as the 49th most powerful man in DC.

Full Bio. Trivia: In the spring of 2008 Lessner worked as an intern for syndicated news program Democracy Now! .

Filmography - Writer/Director Credits:

2016 Automatic at Sea . James Alefantis - Executive Producer. Plot Summary - Excerpt: On a whim, Eve, a Swedish traveler, accepts an invitation from Peter to vacation on his family's private island off the coast of New England. As a series of unexpected delays prevent other guests from arriving, Eve discovers that she has little in common with the increasingly erratic Peter. Gradually the idyllic natural beauty of the island gives way and Eve finds herself trapped in a state of surreality punctuated by bizarre visions, dimensional shifting and secret soda.

2013 Chapel Perilous (14-minute Short) : James Alefantis - Associate Producer . One review at Film Pulse - Excerpt: Winning the Short Film Audience Awaard at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Matthew Lessner’s Chapel Perilous blends a healthy amount of absurdity, mysticism, and the musical stylings of Sun Araw .

2011/I The Woods. This satirical attack on young, modern, globally conscious citizens tells the story of eight grown-up American children creating utopian society as best they can. Three reviews: 1) Slant Magazine : Excerpt: All that, plus half an idea of satire that Lessner rides really, really hard—that is, if peppering the faux-droll voiceover narration with innumerable pop-culture buzzwords or the names of popular consumer electronics devices qualifies as satire. ; 2) IndieWire Sorry, we couldn't find that page. ; 3) Variety : "The Woods" is an aimless satire with no narrative shape -- and no compelling character dynamics or sharp perspective to compensate.

2006 By Modern Measure (5-minute Short) : As part of an ongoing, unaired TV series (By Modern Measure,) an amateur French sociologist presents his observations on a day in the life to two young Americans who meet by chance outside a Taco Bell on October 08, 2006.

2005 Darling Darling (13-minute Short) : Starring a young Michael Cera. Harold must do his best to make a good first impression on his date's one-of-a-kind father, Mr. Darling. Review at Underground Film Journal Excerpts: The premise is a familiar one and easily relatable to — a dorky kid (Cera) arrives to pick up his date and has to contend with the girl’s father, except that here “dad” has a pony head. Lessner’s commitment to comedy here is pretty solid. He could have had any crappy paper mache fake pony head created, but instead he forces a poor actor (Steven Barry) to actually wear a taxidermied real pony head in every scene. don’t even want to think of what that thing even smelled or felt like, especially being worn under (I assume) exceptionally bright movie lights. Barry deserved hazard pay for this gig, if he got anything. ; Random events pile on top of each other, ranging from an archery session with blood-filled, animal-shaped knickknacks and a powerful guitar solo, which is easily the funniest sequence of the film, particularly Cera's reaction to being “grinded."

It's 100% safe.

The singer in the song at the end... is that the worldcorpo singer? Similar timber but it's tough to tell because he only raps(?) in the worldcorpo samples.

Bring_Down_CF

Listened to it again. I'm convinced. The music style is the same. That warm key sound is kind of his signature.

The video should be backed up in case it "disappears".
