I don't have kids and am seeing this vile, degenerate garbage for the first time. One thing that stands out after watching a few videos on the "Hey Kids" and "Toys AndMe" YT channels is a recurring theme of eating feces (chocolate icing and candy, really).

What the fuck... i have 3 young nieces and use ipads and watch peppa pig and shit. This is like the dark side of youtube for kids. Fuck this shit. Also the comments look like pedo code words and lots of kids commenting. Pedos playground. Clicked on a few kids profiles and they have lots of subscribers. Why the fuck would you let your child have its own account where you can talk to strangers or have adults talk to them. This is crazy!!! Watch your damn kids!

Is there a way to block certain channels from playing on YouTube?

There have been multiple posts on Hey Kids in the last week and I don't really understand why. It's a weird channel but none of the content is blatantly pedo related (I haven't even seen anything slightly pedo related) and there's a huge amount of content on it that has no suggestion of any pedo aspect at all. I think the most likely explanation of Hey Kids is that it's some indian guy who teaches a class on graphics and animation and has everyone make the same videos and then just puts audio on them. There's also a clear split in the videos between the repetitive "Finger Family" ones that are all the same, and other ones where he's clearly doing comedy about how his videos are scary and bad for kids. Some of his comedy videos are really funny. There are much MUCH worse youtube channels if that's where you want to focus your investigation:

This is another reason to stop watching and owning television! Talk to your kids and grandkids, explain to them how evil this stuff is. I refuse t.v. movies and the music now. The only way besides prison that can stop this sick evil, is stopping their $ flow.
