I don't have any suspicion over the organizers but (and I don't want to be seen to be discouraging activists) honestly I think it might be a waste of time. It won't get any media coverage and anyone that's likely to care about PedoGate already does. I think we've reached a time where online activism is far more effective than IRL activism in one small location that most people can't physically attend.

Unfortunately, at this point, we are almost completely at the mercy of virtuous elements of the NYPD, the FBI and the DOJ/Trump admin. On the other hand, meeting people in person is tremendous for sparking human connections and possible friendships that motivate people to start a movement. At the end of the day, it's up to individuals if they want to attend and hopefully they're aware of the pros and cons mentioned by others here.
