Been to all three places, cried at Gettysburg when I looked over the plain, thinking about the blood and the smoke and Pickett's Charge, and the slaughter. And it was so peaceful at the time. I've also been to Mena three times. Take care.

I've never been to any of those battlefields in person but I've read about them. And I've got a portrait of my great great grandfather from Connecticut with other survivors of the Battle of Gettysburg at their company's 50th reunion. I have it over my fireplace and use it to ward of any feelings of white guilt the crop up from time to time. ;-)

Very neat. Those reunions are great, seen some on PBS. The whole Ken Burns thing got the family going to all those places.
