Knew a guy whose band was signed to Columbia around the same time as MGMT. Major labels always have a group of young bands they're trying out, his band was part of that bunch at the same time as MGMT. He said the people who run the label are super bizarre and soulless seeming. "Soulless", as in walk-ins, was specifically how he described them even though I'm pretty sure he's not aware of any of the esoteric material on the subject of soulless humans or walk-ins.

The label management is abusive of the bands, doing things like planning meetings and then having no one there, not returning calls for weeks at a time while bands are out of their home country and have no source of income other than label loans, i.e. advances. They manipulate the social and financial circumstances of the bands to create stress and work the artists into a corner so they can take control of the creative decisions of the bands. He spoke to other bands who were on the label at the time and they also said they were being forced to put various not so subtle undertones and themes in their music and especially in their videos. He also said there was an extremely creepy paranormal vibe around a lot of the famous venues tied in with the labels and just around the whole industry in general.

I was already pretty deep into a lot of conspiracy and esoteric stuff at the time he told me this so I already believed this kind of thing was going on (and in the music industry, especially music videos, it's so blatant it's pretty easy to see it even if you don't generally follow conspiracy topics) but to hear it first hand was still pretty remarkable.

This is probably what happened here. Makes sense. I really don't think it was MGMT's intention all along to promote satanism, child abuse etc. Their music seems pretty chill and positive to me actually.

The declassified FBI documents showed TRIANGLE or HEART spirals/ swirls as used as pedophile symbols. I see only a ROUND swirl at 5.36. So 50% of what is needed to build a "pedo spiral" is missing, so I wouldn't call it that. If we do it that way, every single heart or triangle without the spiral feature would also have to be called "pedo heart" or "pedo triangle".

But that's not what the FBI was about...

On the other hand, those round swirls show up often in a suspicious manner and I saw a post were it was aledged, that those round spirals are actually MK-ultra/ monarch mind control symbols. I'll have a look if I can find that post again.

But anyway, we should use those words only on stuff that indeed features BOTH characteristics displayed on the FBI document.

I think this is pizzagate related, but trying to understand the meaning to the song is another thing. Definitely worth investigating
