I don't know if this has been posted before, but after seeing the posts about Mary Podesta (the brother's mom) I started to look into her a bit more and came across this article:

It's from the Washington Post and talks about how great a cook she was in the D.C. area...like REALLY good...I mean, to me it's creepy how obsessed these people are with cooking and food and their related "events". Of course, this could all just be about literal cooking, but if you read it in "pizzacode" it's bizarre.

Didnt she adopt children? If that is the case then well you know the rest of the story.

I dont wanna cast aspersions on the dead, but how does one raise such evil, vile-hearted sons and not be evil and vile-hearted oneself? How does a mother go into a son's house and see repulsive art depicting abused children and dead bodies and be accepting of that unless...she agrees. The apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

There's nothing bizarre about this.
I grew up in an Italian neighborhood where it was no uncommon to buy bread in one store, meat in another, cheese in a third and vegetables in yet a different store. This was routine. As was Sunday dinner. Which happened around noon and lasted for hours as friends and cousins would stop by to visit all afternoon long. After church, a big pot of red sauce would be started and by the afternoon it would be filled with meatballs and sausages and you'd have enough bread for sandwiches for any late comers.
My Mom had a big old 7 quart oval French enamel pot she got from her grandmother just for this purpose.
Nothing bizarre about this

You've never met anyone from a culture with good food, have you? No Italians, no Greeks, no Chinese, no Cajuns or French? This not creepy whatsoever.
I know someone who just went on a family vacation to the Pacific Northwest. Instead of exploring Vancouver, they spent a large part of time in a suburb south of Vancouver because it has some of the best Chinese food in North America. Odd? Yes. Creeps? No. Very sweet people. She's crazy thin too.

Totally agree. Some people just have no culture, or aren't exposed to many foreign cultures, especially americans. Those aspects of American culture have been long worn down. Nothing suspicious about food, or having it as the center piece for the family unit. Seems the forum is grasping at straws lately.

"Her one requirement: Even the candidate, even the most powerful senator or governor could not enter the kitchen without her permission while the event was taking place." I guess she didn't want anyone catching a glimpse of her secret ingredient..

Interesting article, and it could be related, but the last sentence struck me because it said her sister lives in Winchester, VA, which was just in the news because of the guy dressed up like the Joker http://wavy.com/2017/03/25/man-carrying-a-sword-dressed-as-joker-arrested-in-virginia/
Here's the demographics of Winchester. Seems like a small, quaint town http://www.city-data.com/city/Winchester-Virginia.html
