V Baker in the comments claims to be the girl in the video and actually a woman of 26 at the time. This does nothing to ease any suspicions. Young women will be used as bait to attract younger girls.

Just cuz, I looked around on Google maps and found the address shown in the video: 2305 Eleanor Tinsley Way.

Houston is a strange place. I was there for a couple of months a few years ago and thought it strange that 70% of the homes had bars on the windows. Like it was some kind of weird "fashion" statement. I guess it would be hard to tell which houses were keeping kids imprisoned because those houses would just blend in with the rest of them.

TabiCatTwo

That is a strange thing to say. I have lived in Houston for 52 years and there was a time in the 70's when bars was a popular security measure and might remain in some older, non-renovated homes, but 70% is way off! Houston is a huge trafficking area due to almost everywhere is in close proximity to an interstate highway, it's a major port, full of illegals, drug cartels..all that great stuff. I live in a suburb 60 miles out and kids go missing every single day.

I understand why Houston is a popular trafficking area, and maybe 70% is exaggerating, but I've been to a lot of places and have honestly never seen so many homes with bars on the windows. From what I observed, it was definitely the majority. Maybe I was in the older areas, but I'm not sure. It certainly wasn't the higher class places, but there were too many for my comfort. I kept wondering how they get out if there's a fire.

TabiCatTwo

I agree..it would definitely be in the scarier areas. Houston is huge..all encompassing like 10,000 square miles. Lots of wealth and lots of poverty. They stopped selling burglar bars for homes for that very reason..trapped in fire.

Yeah, I just went where my company sent me, and didn't venture into neighborhoods because I really didn't have a reason to. It's strange they would keep the bars on the windows if it's a fire hazard. I assumed they were break-away from the inside, but from your comment, I guess that's not the way they work. Maybe insurance companies need to offer these folks a discount if they're removed. Then, those who are keeping kids imprisoned would be easier to spot? I'm thinking about that home in DC with bars on only the upper floor window, near Pegasus. I'd link you to it, but I don't know where to find it again.

Houston is a hotbed of activity. Obviously, it's a port city. Even Texas PBS covered it.

Also in this much longer documentary from 1981.

In the OP's linked video, it was mentioned that the Kline family owns the bike shops. Kline is a German Jewish surname. Yet AGAIN. Gee, what a shock!

Yates

The subtitle said the bike shops were all owned by the Spratt family. See at 1:00. I can't find info about the Spratt's. Any Houstonites know about them? Kline was printed on the truck, probably the name of the trucking company.
