It's Voat as a whole, not up to mods. I for one am completely fine with it though, makes modding a lot easier.

The problem with this idea is inhibiting the ability to spread the word and discuss leads. The less people we have, the harder it will be. Yes, it will restrict incessant trolling and shilling, but I'm not sure which is the better option. Also, if it's open only to select people then it would be very easy for a specific direction to be taken on Pizzagate as a whole or specific matters, so if there are shills on the inside then it could be a serious problem. Then there's the possibility of people moving away from Voat in order to discuss Pizzagate in an open manner.

I think you misunderstood my post. I was asking if it currently is "invite only ", not stating a preference. In the meantime I found out that all of Voat is invite only. Someone said it's a maintenance issue.

Okay, well I stand by what I said then. Having said that, if the admin feels it's necessary in order to prevent abuse and to maintain the peace, then so be it.
