Exactly. That's why it is discouraged; they want to keep the masses dumb. Notice who physics will not longer be a science requirement in any high school. This way, they can continue to make idiots believe that a hollow aluminum/fiberglass object can pass effortlessly through masses of steel re-inforced concrete, and even have the nose come out the other side (as some "news" videos show) or that fire causes free fall collapse at S=1/2 gt squared.

All the most educated, intelligent and moral people I know home school their children who are advanced well beyond their peers in every subject. Most are multilingual and read at college level before age 12--shows you how dumbed down colleges are now.

Most teachers don't want to teach this shit either. Because curricula are dictated by textbook companies who write the tests under the auspices of federally-mandated 'common-core', they are forced to.

Send you kids to school. And college. And be a good person and raise them the right way and they won't be indoctrinated. It is very, very difficult to do though. Even the "right-leaning" or "conservative" ones still wince when you drop a racial slur or tell an off-color joke.
