General info on Raquette Lake in the Adirondacks: http://mylonglake.com/raquette-lake/

Rich NYC folk like to send their kids Upstate over the summer. Never thought about it, but some may be more nefarious than others.

Pizzalawyer

Yes you are getting carried away. Nothing wrong with these summer camps. Tradition goes way back as the wealthy would send wives and children away into the Adirondack s since the 1800s to escape the diseases that plagued the urban areas in the summer heat, fevers, polio, etc. That said, summer camp can be a wondrous experience for a child unless there is a pedophile lurking in their midst or nasty pranksters amongst the older campers. Fold up your tent and look elsewhere.

Summer camp for the rich to send their kids to learn how to be evil pedophiles?

Shitseverewhere

Maybe, haven't we learned that many pedophiles are former victims? I took a few screen shots from the boys camp video. They show a guy eating pizza and then immediately show this kid sliding on the water sourounded by white foam. Seems indicative a ritual abuse but it sure could be argued either way. https://imgoat.com/upload/success?id=15697,15698,15699,15700,15701

An article about RACQUETTE LAKE KIDS CAMP:

This Sleepaway Camp In The Adirondacks Costs $11,400 A Summer And Is Practically Impossible To Get Into | By Meredith Galante | Business Insider website | Jul. 2, 2012

Excerpts (the entire article reads like a gigantic RED FLAG):

... exclusive and expensive ... offers campers million-dollar facilities, a camper to counselor ratio of 2:1 , full-uniform attire, Olympic-level sports coaches, and around-the-clock counselor supervision in the bunks , ...

$11,400 for the summer, just for the basics. "The camp may sound a little resort-like, but our campers are far from on holiday," said Ed Lapidus, whose wife Kathi has owned the camp for a little more than a decade (he calls himself "the camp grandpa") . "Parents want their children to get as much life experience as possible. We're old school." ...

There's space for just 450 campers between the ages of 6 and 16 years old in the boys' and girls' camps, and most of those spots are filled by children returning from previous summers. Siblings and legacies (some kids are third- and fourth-generation campers) are admitted next. ...

Camp staff uses a map to make sure that there are not too many campers from the same school or hometown , so the children truly have a diverse experience. There are campers from 18 countries and 21 states ...

All electronics, including cellphones , video games, and even hair dryers, are forbidden. ...

The rest of this MIGHT be worth it's own OP, but I'll just run it up the flagpole here, and see if anyone salutes. I haven't look in depth at any of these links, yet. (I did find a ping pong paddle pic on one home page.) Question: What to do with those pesky kids, when you want some yacht and country club time? Easy An$wer (if you have the mean$): Pack them off to a swanky SUMMER CAMP ...

Over the past 10 years, the Foundation has donated more than $6.5 million to worthy causes and close to $10 million in total since its inception in 1980.

ANOTHER KIDS' CAMP: Pinmere Camp, Est. 1942

Pinemere Camp is a dynamic community made up of campers, families, staff, and alumni from around the world. Each summer, Pinemere Camp creates a safe space for children, where they can leave behind the hectic pace, pressure, and technology of “the real world” and just be kids. Many people say that Pinemere Camp feels more like a family! This is probably why more than 90% of our campers return each summer to our home in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. We set ourselves apart with our intimate camp size (maximum of 250 campers), rustic setting, innovative programs, inclusive Jewish programming, and a fun and welcoming environment. We hire and develop the best staff in camping. Our goal is to assist your camper(s) in building friendships, in fostering their Jewish identity, in acquiring new skills, and to have the BEST SUMMER, EVERY SUMMER!

Add: After posting this comment, I've come to realize, I might be coming across as a rude, insensitive, and/or ignorant jackass, regarding summer camps. Please know, I'm NOT inherently adverse to summer camps for kids. I KNOW 1) there are plenty of summer camps that are legit, providing excellent life experiences; 2) plenty of working parents who depend on kids' summer camps, so they can go to work and feed their families. And, 3) I have nothing against "the rich" in general, or having/inheriting/earning lots of money. I like money as much as the next person. But, nowadays, when I see these things, the FIRST thing I think of is DANGER. That's what Pizzagate has done to me. I apologize if I've offended anyone.

Actually crossed paddles are design cliche. Do a Google image search and you'll find thousands of examples.

Shitseverewhere

If I had found the design and after furthur research found nothing, ok. But the boys camp video has some interesting images. https://imgoat.com/upload/success?id=15697,15698,15699,15700,15701
