Is this going to be a glitzy affair with evening gowns and champaign and elites congratulating each other, then some followup photos in the society pages of the local magazines? The awards are awfully thin. Some are being given out for raising money for NCMEC since the $40 million annual subsidy from federal taxpayers isn't enough.

I've wondered about the origin of the name. The org was set up to create a database of missing kids. So why did they include the word exploited in the initial conception? Just a curious thought escaping from my brain.

This event is today and a good opportunity for public awareness.

Wow. They are giving an award to the organization that played a part in the cover up of he franklin scandal. They pulled the conspiracy of silence just before it was set to air and expose the franklin scandal. Now they get an award from the corrupt ncmec. Really??????

Maybe we'll get lucky and a meteor will obliterate the 'CELEBRATION'.

On a side note >> Since the inception of the NCMEC in 1984, rates of child abductions and child trafficking have gone up over 3000% in the USA.

I wonder if any pizzagaters would be nominated... I do think many of us are doing pretty important job for the matter, fitting their goal:
