I had a bunch of posts held up a couple of months ago. I have had dialogue with mods since and have satisfied myself that Voat is ok for now. Voat ownership is nebulous which bothers me...but we are being allowed to continue in a relatively unimpeded fashion...so I decided to stay and continue...my 2 cents..

I have posted several things in the last week or so and all went up just fine...

Yeah I get the same thing. I'll be certain that the mods are bullshit gatekeepers and then they'll prove otherwise, and then contradict themselves again. There's definitely fuckage to some degree though, I've seen too many times when shit got dodgy.

Atko coming back for all of two seconds yesterday, with yet another of his incredibly anonymous "I'm drunk. I love you guys" posts was hugely suspect. Especially right on the back of all the service interruptions, like it was an attempt to mollify the long-termers by having a site celeb do a quick digital drive by before disappearing for another 6 + months.

Maybe whoever is running Voat at the FBI is switching out the controllers and they're settling into their new roles. They want everyone reassigned and re-positioned before Gowdy comes in perhaps? "Misplace" and "lose" all Comey's directives and their own complicity in illegal acts of spying in the "reshuffle".

But I do check in once in awhile and there is always either a big fight going on or some interesting headline. Hope you're well, Vie. You're doing the only rational thing to do. This is persistent, increasing, terrifying narrative manipulation everywhere. Mod fights on voat don't matter much when CNN, WaPo, Nyt and elected officials are lying about everything.
