Splitting is a common characteristic of BPD; but not the actual personality splitting, but the defense mechanism of splitting . I actually have interacted with a good number of transgender people . I have personally worked with many. I do not see NPD as DID lite, like you said. I have also worked with a number of people diagnosed with both disorders. And I do not think trans individuals choose to be that way. I would go so far as to say I'm sure they do not choose it
