On the 10th August 2016 Miles Mawby spoke to the Daily Mail about Seth Rich's murder. The Mail describe Miles as "one of Seth Rich's closet friends". He tells The Mail that "the idea that Rich was the source who gave the leaked DNC documents to Wikileaks was 'absolutely absurd."

He was with Seth the night before at the same bar according to the article, the night Seth was murdered.
