Bauman is a crisis public relations consultant working with the Pastorum Group. A media release from the Pastorum Group reveals that Bauman previously worked for the DNC and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Medstar Health care system is a huge conglomeration dominating the health care system in Washington and Maryland with 10 hospitals and 6000 affiliated physicians. SEIU is a union for many kinds of workers including those working in the healthcare industry: that branch of the union is called SEIU Health Care with over 1 million members.
