this documentary is interesting BUT not all that accurate a portrayal of DID/multiple personality. Less than 10% of people with DID present in this cut and dry way. Many may not even have "named" personalities or be aware of their disorder. As someone that suffers.. love mr. robot for a portrayal of what dissociation feels like. There is a also a great youtube video where someone "shows" dissociation by talking with music playing loud you can't make out what she is saying.

This doc really failed to capture the woman's experience, it seemed just to gawk at her and was alarmingly shallow in scope, and somewhat misleading about DID (though not necessarily so about her personal experience.) I watched this out of my personal interest in dissociation and was super surprised when SRA came up...but then was never really explored.
