Arkancide has been going on for over 40 years. There have been PLENTY of investigative journalists digging around during the past four decades. Before that, politicians like Huey Long, Daly of Chicago, etc. were offing people who got too close left and right.

In the early 2000s newspapers began laying them off. As stated in my post above, it got really bad in about 2003.
