Given how many people were calling the thread in question BS, it will be a stretch for them to be able to blame 4chan. Especially if the holes in the narrative get exposed fast enough. Given how late at night this incident is, we have the advantage in initiative since the internet thus 4chan never sleeps.

Remember, the original narrative for the Boston Bombing was that it was going to be "a right wing nut job, therefore we need more gun control". That narrative was blown apart within hours by 4chan IIRC, so the narrative had to be changed.

This is potentially the 2nd time the plan has had to be changed due to the plots being caught during formation. Sounds to me like a hastily constructed plot, thus one that will have greater vulnerability to deconstruction of its narrative.
