The word "piazza" (similar to "pizza") means "square" or "market" ( pizzagate )

I posted already about the word "pizzo" --- https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1981956 ---- which has several meanings, one of which is "extortion" and used commonly in Sicily, and then discovered another word --- PIAZZA --- which is also similar to our favorite Italian food PIZZA. It means "square" or "market." I am looking for the reason that PIZZA is recurring in this investigation. Yes, there seems to be sexual connotations, but still, I keep wondering if there is more to it.

OMG, thank you so much for this link. I missed that post and it is very informative. I have struggled for months and months for a genuine link to the use of pizza as a sexual term. Urban dictionary is full of lots of junk and isn't solid enough of a link. I've looked at everything. Pizzo in Italy is extortion money. Piazzo is a market or a square. Who knew that a pseudo-sexual professor would have thought of using "pizza" to describe sex. What a hoot that creep really is to need a facimile to discuss sex. Sickening. I dont know if I'll ever eat pizza again.

I'm with you. He gags me. Pizza is ruined, and sex education has never been the same. It's a miracle any kids make it through the public school system now without developing a seriously twisted psyche. Btw, I'm appreciating your research into word meanings. Very interesting.
