@Dfens : Please review and respect the submission rules created by the community for v/pizzagate research posts. They are in the sidebar (view desktop site if on mobile). Repeated disregard for them will result in a ban. Removing per Rule 1.

So it's ok to talk about Jesuits but not Catholics, the denomination to which Jesuits belong? That's absurd.

Dfens, I removed your post because you offered no direct connection between priestly celibacy and the trafficking of kids by the global elite.

I found an article that says there are 228 cases of sexual abuse reported (to insurance companies) against the Catholic Church every year and 260 reported against Protestant churches ( http://www.foxnews.com/story/2007/06/24/sexual-abuse-minors-in-protestant-churches.html) ). I found statistics in another article that indicates Protestants outnumber Catholics in the US by 2:1 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_the_United_States) ). Thus, as I stated, sexual abuse is more prevalent in the Catholic Church on a per capita basis. Certainly there have been no cases where the administration of a major denomination has tried to cover up this crime, though I'm sure there have been individual instances. Wouldn't it be great if we could have this discussion on an open forum?

Absolutely! So, why not make a post that moderators are not required to remove by the submission rules, the Voat User Agreement and the anti-censorship mod-thumpers at v/ProtectVoat ?

"Celibacy of Catholic Priests is evidence of continuing gnostic influence" does not "establish direct relevance to pizzagate" as required by Rule 3. If I leave this up, it constitutes unfair/inconsistent administration of the subverse rules, which is grounds for mod removal.

I apologize if I put your position in jeopardy. That was not my intent. Also, thanks for the service you do for us all by being a moderator.

Thanks for the kind words, Dfens. You didn't. But enforcing the subverse rules isn't optional for us; most users don't understand this. It's no big deal, but our intentions are often misconstrued when we remove posts.

In fact I did address that with the following statement: "The celibate priesthood has hurt the Catholic church now for a millennium and has led to many sex scandals that have plagued the Catholic church much more frequently than it has the Orthodox and Protestant churches." Honestly it would be good to have a source for the statement (as I did for almost every other statement in the two paragraphs), but it is hardly a stretch to believe anecdotally. Certainly no other Christian church has had to deal with decades of recurring pedophile priest abuse combined with a major cover-up by church authorities in recent memory.
