Up to 80 per cent of Nigerian migrant women and girls arriving on Europe's shores in Italy could potentially be sex trafficking victims, spotlighting the horrific levels of abuse and violence migrants face along their arduous journeys for a better future, according to a UN study.

fuck-all to do with global elite. NOTHING AT ALL linking this to anything described in rule 1.

Even OP's own fucking comment fails to describe anything at all linking this to global elite. What, exactly, will come of INVESTIGATING this? This is an INVESTIGATION subverse, not pedonewsoftheday.

Not new?

Be careful of NGOs offering solutions to problems. I've lived in the developing world for over twenty years and my observation is that many NGOs cause more problems than they solve.

The UN also does not have a good track record - ie Cambodia, Haiti, The Balkans.

The Great 21st Century Migration is no accident.

Most NGO's in countries like Cambodia are used for trafficking and prostituting children. I suppose organ harvesting as well. Cambodia had a major epidemic a few years ago resulting in many NGO's shut down

Maybe they should stay home then

talking to yourself?

Stop defending a child trafficking apologist.

In the first place, children have no say in what they do or don't do.

If only it were that simple

I just noticed that most of your submissions are about sex between adults and children https://voat.co/user/3141592653/submissions

You must have a special interest in that topic.

As have we all. Reason the sub exists. So, your point?

3141592653

this sub is about ending child sexual abuse.... and BTW, child sexual abuse is not about "sex", it's about violence, greed, evil and power.

  • Published today on GlobalIssues.Org, a story of the "horrific levels of abuse and violence" that girls from Africa is facing during migration or refugee status.

  • Once again, as with the article I posted yesterday, the actual title they use says "WOMEN Face Shocking Sexual Abuse", then the article goes on to discuss children begin trafficked, and that the majority of victims are ages 13-24. I definitely think the world "children" should be in the title. Why are all these titles downplaying the true horror of what's happening?

From the article : " Up to 80 per cent of Nigerian migrant women and girls arriving on Europe's shores in Italy could potentially be sex trafficking victims, spotlighting the horrific levels of abuse and violence migrants face along their arduous journeys for a better future, according to a UN study.

In its report, "Human Trafficking through the Central Mediterranean Route" (in Italian*), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) highlights the plight of those who have been assisted by the UN agency and calls for urgent action against the "market" which are supplied these victims was well as what is called is a "growing demand" for paid sexual services.

"Trafficking is a transnational crime that devastates the lives of thousands of people and is the cause of untold suffering," Federico Soda, the Director of the IOM Coordinating Office for the Mediterranean, said announcing the findings.

"This is a theme we have been working on for years, committing to protect, prevent and collaborate with the authorities dealing with organized crime."

According to the UN agency, over the past three years, its office in Italy has witnesses an almost 600 per cent increase in the number of potential sex trafficking victims arriving in Italy by sea. The upward trend has continued during the first six months of this year, with most victims arriving from Nigeria."

  • This is hugely related to PG and does not get enough attention. This is organized child sexual trafficking/ slavery on a massive scale- perhaps the biggest PG case occurring currently in the world. The victims' stories are tragic and surely cause lifelong trauma to these children and young women.
