No and it's not from the Germanic line eather, but I'm still fluent! English is the hard one!

Unless you speak French, don't bother relying on google translate as your investigative magic wand. It gets stuff wrong all the time. This "leak" is very suspicious. Rabbit trails....

Candle4TheKids

When are the 9/11 leaks? The Israel leaks? Mossad? Not being facetious. Just reminding people of the likelihood of Wikileaks being a limited hangout. Macron... I mean in some senses who cares about these front guys? Do we think people like Macron and Theresa May run the world? these people are just muggles with black souls willing to trade principles for power and a salary way above their intellect and ability.

Edit: investigate away, but don't get distracted when they throw you a bone. Because that is exactly what they're doing imo

Maybe it is a thing. Here is a gallery crawl in Paris where wine and peanuts are featured. https://www.excusemyparty.com/party/detail/694 I kept looking up French slang for peanuts but the cacahuetes may just be cacahuetes. I kind of like that word, it comes from native South american....

Not saying these freaks wouldn't twist the meaning into their own code. How many instances of this word occur in the leaks?

Urban dictionary has "cute little person" as top definition for English word "peanut". It also means small change, too little money. However, the French for that isn't"cacahuetes" is is "funny money". The French and Spanish slang for cacahuetes is also little cutie-- alternatively, it could also be a pill popping female.

Peanuts of course, can refer to the cartoon children drawn by Charles Schultz.

Other slang meanings include cocaine, and salty testicles.

Here is a super suspicious one... https://wikileaks.org/macron-emails/emailid/2438

From Google translate: "I put Cedric in the loop. Aziz wishes to be reimbursed for expenses paid to his own pizzeria. Only the RIB of Pizza Di Napoli (on which I had paid the pizzas of 10/12) is the same as his personal RIB that he has just communicated to us. Is this problematic? "

"Just for Aziz, yes, but it is spending several months and I have brought it back to you because it does not have the money without repayment to go campaign in Senegal (places of birth of Hamon and or ' Is either us or Hamon). "

"Subject: Nave for urgent payment Raph, Below are some notes of expenses awaiting urgent payment: - Aziz (must go to Senegal if the money is paid If not no trip for me "

What's also weird is that this email was in March and they are talking about pizza from October?

You have zero evidence but suspicion and your argument of "Who the fuck talks like that" is known as argument from lack of imagination. It's a way falsely narrowing down the options of an event.

This is criminal blackmail on a level I've not seen before or even heard. Macron is a puppy, he or she have no idea!

EvaEverywhere

We live at a time where blackmail material should be leaking ten ways to Sunday including ominous threats in daily conversations (Clinton's Lynn de Rothchild atonement message is an example even though it is mostly discreet). But we do not have messages like this (or exfiltrated videos or photos) here and there, so all we have is a Festival of Coincidences. Hardcore proof SHOULD appear at some point so we must still be on the lookout for it.

Yes I noticed that too. But "bête" has many meanings and my french isn't good enough to know if it's suspicious in this context or not.

One of the emails talks about how you can buy 'pizza' with bitcoin (not sure how to copy and paste using my phone) but you search for pizza and bitcoin

BigDaddy69

Why is everyone assuming the code is "pizza"? He speaks french, they probably use a different code to co-ordinate child diddling.

Commoner

pizza translates to 'pizza' in French. Maybe that is why they use pizza for code word. no need for translator

BigDaddy69

Wouldn't it make more sense that they are just talking about Pizza though? France is Italy adjecent; they eat a lot of pizza, it's a popular food choice.

It might if we knew that these people didn't traffic in children and 'socialize' together.

Scotch and scissors?

darkofthemoon

Scotch is a brand of sticky tape, which would be useful if they're going to be making postal or similar packages. I'm not sure if it has any hidden meaning.

Narcissism

Scotch tape would be good for gaging or restraining someone with.

madhatter67

In my experience, Duct tape would be a lot more effective!

Good point, then the combination of Scotch (tape) and Scissors is a lot less confusing or sinister than it occurred to me.

Suspect e-mail re pizza? https://wikileaks.org/macron-emails/emailid/21779

Translation: Hello everyone, compared to the evening scheduled at my house on Friday night it would be more appropriate that two or three of those who planned to bring drinks bring food as there are only 3/4 people who have planned To bring food. So to avoid that we take the person next to us as a meal (at least we will be in the theme of the evening), I would like some of you to bring some food for the dish (Fanny is going to make a cake and I'm sure most of those who bring drinks will also bring peanuts ...). A pizza may very well do the trick.

Edit: on closer inspection could well be innocent, always a danger of confirmation bias with this stuff!

conspiracyprincess

Not everyone needs to bring a bag of peanuts. And you'll be taking the person next to you as a meal? My interpretation is there won't be enough kids to go around.

turitelle

I think the only way to be sure about this stuff is to have a fluent French speaker translate, because running it through the google thing it doesn't always come out right, especially slang and jargon. And the code words might be entirely different in French than English.

10013408?

email isn't verified

DonutofShame

The theme of the evening?

Are they serving human?

srayzie

I think has to be code for either drugs or food. Who talks like this? I wonder what they mean by (peanuts). Little boys?

EvaEverywhere

What is interesting is that the word "peanuts" is used. In french we say "Pinottes" pronounced very French and it's a word that can stand in for just about anything like chips, cheatos or any nuts. It's what you munch on with alcoholic beverages. Peanuts for beer and cheese/fruits with wine. I just got back from Vegas, a city that is built to give the impression of "savoir vivre" to people who have no fucking idea or clue how to live life to the fullest or create it for themselves. Reading this thread is quite similar and very entertaining.

srayzie

Well that's really interesting

Mad_As_Hell

Yeah 'peanuts' is weirdly specific, anything similar in Podesta e-mails?

So to avoid that we take the person next to us as a meal

Talking about an orgy, but they don't want to be stuck with just each other as sex partners?

GuannaRue

So to avoid that we take the person next to us as a meal ( at least we will be in the theme of the evening )

Basically: "We don't want to end up eating each other (AKA "Cannibalism") HOWEVER , if we did end up eating each other (AKA "Cannibalism") at least we will still be doing the same thing we planned on doing, anyway, lol."

In other words: " We're eating human meat tonight, whether we eat each other or somebody else, lol ."

EvaEverywhere

Except in French, eating each other would be a code for 69ing or oral sex. That is the first most obvious and common interpretation of this phrase... Though it could be a cannibalism reference. The parenthesis is the only really sketchy part of this e-mail, the rest is codified Paris mores having to do with sex and eating.

UnicornAndSparkles

Yes. Exactly how I read this too.

darkofthemoon

The mention of pizza makes me think it's an orgy rather than something else in code. Their problem is that they themselves aren't that attractive/are mostly male. Therefore multiple people need to bring in extra participants to make the orgy better. At least one woman(?) is coming for sure, and someone has promised to bring children.

Could peanuts be casual partners, or perhaps some sort of pills? I haven't seen that code before. I'm going to guess pills for a drug-fueled drunken orgy.

GuannaRue

Agreed

markrod420

Could also be a less literal metaphor like an orgy. But obviously taking it literally provides a chilling potential.

GuannaRue

True

Gorillion

I think that's just a joke, like a cartoon where the a starving character will see their buddy as a chicken drumstick and start licking their drooling chops.

"To avoid getting so hungry that the guy next to us starts looking like dinner."

GuannaRue

But what about:

(at least we will be in the theme of the evening)

What kind of theme is associated with "taking the person next to you as a mean"?

EvaEverywhere

It could be the kind of potluck dinner where you invite people who don't know each other but you think could get together. Matchmaking is fun and entertaining. If you interpret the e-mail being about young people socializing and making sex jokes, it's very French.
