I wouldn't get too warm and fuzzy over Steve King...he's Uniparty...and the Uniparty have become masters of good cop/bad cop...I mean, fellow Uniparty member Trey Gowdy has put on some impressive displays of new asshole rippin' over the years....and what came of it? Why didn't he want the AG slot where he could have acquired some fangs to go with that bark?

NonexistentNihilist

Has George Soros ever been named in a congressional session like this before? This is fucking huge.

On March 7, 2008, during his press engagements to announce his reelection campaign, King made remarks about U.S. senator and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and his middle name "Hussein", saying:

I don't want to disparage anyone because of their race, their ethnicity, their name—whatever their religion their father might have been, I'll just say this: When you think about the optics of a Barack Obama potentially getting elected President of the United States – I mean, what does this look like to the rest of the world? What does it look like to the world of Islam? I will tell you that, if he is elected president, then the radical Islamists, the al-Qaida, the radical Islamists and their supporters, will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11.[70]

Then on March 10, King defended his comments to The Associated Press, saying "(Obama will) certainly be viewed as a savior for them.... That's why you will see them supporting him, encouraging him."[71]

Obama said he did not take the comments too seriously, describing King as an individual who thrives on making controversial statements to get media coverage. He said, "I would hope Sen. McCain would want to distance himself from that kind of inflammatory and offensive remarks." The McCain campaign disavowed King's comments, saying "John McCain rejects the type of politics that degrades our civics… and obviously that extends to Congressman King's statement."[71]

In mid-January 2009, King acknowledged that terrorists were not dancing in the streets, and in fact "They have made statements against Obama." But he also claimed that he found Obama's decision to use his middle name "Hussein" when he was to be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States on January 20, 2009, to be "bizarre" and "a double-standard".[72]

UnicornAndSparkles

Very surprised Mr King didn't suicide himself over the Obama comments because my goodness was he right.

Now this .. he's treading thin ice. It's so humbling to see people being so brace and speaking out.

OMG. The Best Yet. . Knew nothing about Congressman King.

Went to his website and started listening

to his media offerings. Got to thinking:

A happy voice in the wilderness.

Thank You To Steve King.

Am pretty much convinced from multiple sources that:

The past POTUS (aka Barrack Hussein Obama) had the name:

Barry Soetoro

when he was high school and

living in Hawaii.

Thank you. @Jeighdubs01

RoBatten

I have very low confidence that anything will come of this . . .

equineluvr

You are correct, but that's the wrong response on Voat.

You're supposed to be all pumped up and excited! You're supposed to give a fire-breathing harangue about "fighting the good fight." THAT is what gets upvoats here on Voat. Even though those of us with brains know that NOTHING will come of this PERFORMANCE.

icuntstopswearing

"Performance" for whose sake? It seemed to me that he was genuinely outraged. But then I'm not a bitter shill traumatised by his more intelligent, and probably condescending, Jewish relatives.

Steve King gets it

10033937?

Damn!!! That was fucking awesome! This is exciting.

DayWalker

I really wish they wouldn't add ~le epic dramatic music~ to vids like this.

equineluvr

Why not?

It's all a dramatic theatrical production, so it's entirely fitting. :)

shtbh

I experienced the same.

Horaah.

I found the same on Congressman King's website and enjoyed it more.

media section.

10033910?

Well, the way they put it, it's not obstrusive, and in fact, it keeps the focus on what he says

Often, congress vids, especially the long ass ones, exceed the average attention span, and as a result, people don't watch it or give up half way into it

icuntstopswearing

Considering how pumped-up King was - it was a little unnecessary!
