The Whistleblower Act does NOT cover people who have signed a confidentiality clause/non-disclosure agreement. And guess what, that covers just about anyone working anywhere of significance.

Edit: From the linked article:

"Congress enacted America’s first whistleblower law. Its words ring as true today as they did 239 years ago:

“...It is the duty of all persons in the service of the United States, as well as all other inhabitants thereof, to give the earliest information to Congress or any other proper authority of any misconduct, frauds or misdemeanors committed by any persons in the service of these states.”

Seems like the govt. should be required to notify new hires of their specific duty as required by law to report information they encounter with regard to "misconduct, frauds or misdemeanors." Some people with incriminating information may not be aware that disclosure is actually a legal requirement, and knowledge of that could make the law abiding ones more inclined to divulge.

Isn't That Quite Delicious.

Now it is not just a wish and a hope it has become law. Now we at least have a leg to stand on. Would this cover us too?

Look at what John Podesta said recently about censoring fake news. Who's Hillary's pitbull? Good ole JP! So I agree with the idea that there's no way this would happen under Hillary

ArrowsFly

I was trying to mention the connection between them labeling things they don't want to spread or get out as fake news, I feel like they wouldn't stop at just fake news, it's much easier to discredit a singular person, look at Bradley Manning, Snowden, other people that didn't have the impact these did but still continued their duty of calling out when something is wrong even when in a position of submission.

Thank you for posting this Wonderful News! We need to hear something uplifting for we read so many sad stories everyday. Upvoat

Yes, I would like to hear that explanation from their new 12 hr. acct. But since you probably won't get an answer, I will say that NO that would not have happened under the reign of HRC.

ArrowsFly

It feels like with the introduction of the buzzword "fake news", it's given the general public higher doubt in anything that isn't the "official story"

ArrowsFly

Today is neither of those days... (You must have really wanted to talk about this...)
