Dude, you got your facts all wrong. The human body metabolizes DMT almost instantly by an enzyme called monoamine oxidase. This is why DMT, when smoked, produces short hallucinations; the DMT is metabolized so fast that its effects only last for 20 minutes max. If you would take DMT orally, nothing will happen, because it will be metabolized in your stomach before it gets a chance to enter the bloodstream and reach the brain.

Compare this to, for example, LSD, which is metabolized by your liver. This takes a much longer time, which is why an LSD trip can easily last 8 hours.

Now there's this brew called Ayahuasca, in which DMT is mixed with a vine which contains natural MAO-inhibitors. MAO-inhibitors INHIBIT the action of monoamine oxidase; the enzyme responsible for the quick breakdown of DMT. Therefore, when taking DMT together with an MAO-inhibitor the breakdown of DMT is temporarily stopped, making the trip last a lot longer.

So, contrary to what you claim, the human body cannot digest and metabolize DMT WITH the MAO inhibitors.

The fact is that the body CAN process DMT WITHOUT MAO-inhibitors. Acutally, the body CANNOT process DMT WITH MAO-inhibitors. MAO-inhibitors STOP the body from processing DMT.

This is how it works:

Body + DMT -> DMT gets metabolized Body + DMT + MAO-inhibitors -> DMT doesn't get metabolized

So, again, the original claim is all wrong.
