I knew a living witness who was not a Jew she was German Royalty. Her father was a top commandant with Hitler. She was on stage in Berlin at age 8 when he spoke to the German Youth.

She was dedicated and committed to Hitler Youth and asked to join at age 8 to Hitler personally.

My goal here isn't to offend, i feel sorry for the horrors your family went through and i don't deny they got in camps...but worked to death is exactly what the ''denialists'' mean. It's not that Hitler didn't round up people and put them in camps, but that he didn't do it specifically to kill them, rather for the cheap workforce to support the losing war. People died massively in the losing side camps by the end of the war because of food supplies shortages and overworking people. There is a lot of documentation on the last moments of the war and it's effect on POWs on both sides. For example, forced labour camps, where no one is saying it was extermination camps, had average death rate varying depending on the location. Indonesia is the worst place with close to 75% of POW dying. 40% of american POW died at the hand of the japanese. No one call it a death camp or extermination of the indonesians or americans because they were not. Death was a side effect of their overwork, extremely bad sanitation, low food supplies and of course, hatred for the ''other side''. I saw a great documentary on ww2 american POW on youtube a few years ago. It was really telling of the problems encountered, disorganization during the last moments of the war, etc.

Personally i think it makes way more sense to use prisoners as ressources than executing them in an elaborate and expensive fashion (why not just put a bullet in their heads?) but I really haven't looked enough into it to make a definitive opinion. Maybe he really did hate the jews to the point of wanting to kill them but IMO it doesn't make much sense other than believing ''he really hated them''.
