Anybody know if all the ddos protection etc is causing problems with mobile platforms? i.e Voatify app for iphone? - Mine's been down for about 24 hours now. I get a 503 when I try to log in through the app. Just curious if it had anything to do with all of this here. Take care guys.

Probably. Can you post a screenshot in v/voatdev ? Putt is trying to track down and weed out all of the bugs that are popping up.

I just finished work, - opened up the app, and it looks like you've fixed it. - So, couldn't take a screen shot, but basically it just wouldn't bring up the login screen for the app, and kept redirecting me to a blank page with a 503 error on it.

I'm not only having my "bits" checked when I come in every day/night ... but any time I move from one subject to another. So far, over last 1/2 hour, my "bits" have been checked at least 5 or 6 times. Is that unusual or is anyone else having the same thing happen to them?

It just keeps saying that its verifying on my laptop and wont let me in...Suggestions as to how to fix this? Fwiw i am on my phone accessing voat at the moment.

Is the opening "investigating your bits" legit by Voat, or is it tracking of members by some other party?

Should I log out -- and when will Voat be back?

Putt had to add lag time because Voat was being attacked by a botnet. That's just his playful way of saying "please wait while we verify you're not trying to hurt us."

@Vindicator do you know what verifying our bits entails? Asking for a friend. It seems ominous. Nevertheless, if people are tracking us somehow it would be unwise fpr them to come after us, especially those of us who exercise our rights under the Second Amendment.

Pretty sure it's to make sure the system isn't being accessed by a bot or malware (repeated queries to drown the system). Putt is trying to move the site, and the shills are trying to attack to f it up.

Whatever it is, it breaks opera mobile. I'm not sure if its the browser, or the data compression/ privacy vpn, was disappointedly voatless on a recent trip.

Lots of folks are working hard on fixing bugs. It help if you report these issues (with screenshots if you can) on v/voatdev . Putt can use all the input he can get.
