In sharp contrast, Pope Benedict XVI launched a major campaign to stamp out pedophilia in the Catholic church during his brief tenure as Pope between 2005 and 2013. At least 400 priests found guilty of sex crimes against children were defrocked.

And now we know why B16 was replaced.

Yes, I don't really get it about the 16th. He is supposed to be guilty himself and his brother was brought up this year on child sex abuse charges I believe in Austria. He was a Boys Choir Director. Wonder if this was a set up, a payback of sorts for the pope's cleaning up of pedophile priests in the church. The pope is pretty much behind lock and key now. He was forced out.
