Pretty in Pink may have been a silly, eighties movie, but I still have a crush on Molly.

I suspect that the "married director" was Paul Mazursky. She was around 14 in 1982, when Tempest, directed by him, was released.

This story is not pizzagate and probably not even statutory-gate. The New Yorker posting these weinstein type stories reminds me of how the left supplanted the tea party movement with faux occupy wall street. The "molestation" allegations at 13,14 mentioned in this article would barely earn a P-13 rating at the movies. Television and movies themselves were more inappropriate. Look at all the filth in the movie Sixteen Candles that she signed up for. It was rated PG apparantly. Anyways my main concern is that they are userping the issue and investigators may fall into the trap. Notice in the article the subtle jabs at men in power like the presidency kind of garbabge. Don't let them take over the narrative into a feminsism and dismantling white patriarchy type stuff. Why aren't they interviewing Demi Moore? That's my concern about this weinstein thing being handed over like a trojan horse. Weinstein is really the left "dismantling white patriarchy" type stuff. They don't care about the kids etc. A seperate subverse should be made for 'statutorygate' and another for 'harrassmentgate' etc. If language is not precise then they are going to succeed at conflating issues and language.

Does Ms. Ringwald know that boys and men are abused as well? Her focus solely on girls & women is ... surprising. I say this as a woman, with a csa history. It's relatively easy for women to speak out in our society, to find help and comfort. Boys and men are much more isolated; their testimonies -- when they can bring themselves to make them -- met with ridicule, disbelief, shame.

Completely agree, the left is using the Weinstein scandal as another stick to beat white men (especially those who don’t tow the line such as Trump and Oliver Stone) with and create more division, rather than an opportunity to draw attention to how widespread such abuse is regardless of age, gender, ethnicity etc. That said, i’ve seen a few MSM headlines mentioning pedophilia, we need to keep pushing this angle and getting the normies’ attention. Here’s a good article with verifiable instances of pedophilia in Hollywood: https://listverse.com/2017/02/26/10-disturbing-stories-about-hollywoods-pedophile-problem/

Yes those who control the media are constantly trying to "create more division" and diversion. It's not a left-right thing, just like it's not a male-female thing. We gotta finally notice that we're all in this together and stop allowing false divisions to distract us. I agree about Oliver Stone. I'm still in wait-n-see mode about Trump.

So Molly and her peers are unable to get the people they really want in trouble and are assuming Trump is the same. She wants an apology from the guy that said "I wouldn't know her if she sat on face" and then in the very next paragraph insinuates Trump is a person that would do such a thing.

For those who didn't actually read the article...And in case it isn't clear: HARVEY is not the person who molested her.

I have had plenty of Harveys of my own over the years, enough to feel a sickening shock of recognition. When I was thirteen , a fifty-year-old crew member told me that he would teach me to dance, and then proceeded to push against me with an erection. When I was fourteen , a married film director stuck his tongue in my mouth on set. At a time when I was trying to figure out what it meant to become a sexually viable young woman, at every turn some older guy tried to help speed up the process. And all this went on despite my having very protective parents who did their best to shield me. I shudder to think of what would have happened had I not had them.

EyeOfHorus

Typical libtard twisting very real hollywood rape into an attack on the President. She loses credibility.

AugustaJulia

Where does it say about 13?

...and Drew Barrymore .... Jodie Foster ....over to you!

Come on, child stars: tell your stories! We all know Drew was infamously doing cocaine and vodka when she was 9 . Who the hell gave it to her??

Mad_As_Hell

Have you seen Drew’s new TV show about cannibalism? Don’t think she’ll be outing anyone any time soon

StSimonTrentPray4Us

They have video of Demi Moore being far more innappropriate than this article.

millennial_vulcan

we've seen it. she was high on coke.

StSimonTrentPray4Us

Yes, that is why I referenced the vid rather than sharing a link.

It would be great if all these actors and actresses could find the courage to come together, creating their own film, with their own stories, all about Hollywood and all the disgusting things that's happened over the years. I'm sure there would be nothing better to open up the eyes of the public than a film all about the crimes commited in Hollywood, the music business and modeling world.

To be honest, I've seen enough shit here to last a lifetime - would much rather it not be monetized in cinema.

Avatar - Bloody Angel

How can I sleep?

When everyone else turns to dust

How can I breathe?

When my mouth is filled with the rashes of modern day lust,

Trying to exit the program

I've seen enough to feed my psychosis for a lifetime

Marfa-Lights

Was thinking more of reaching out to the millions that hasn't got a clue what's really going on here, not the couple of hundred that post on Voat about it.

argosciv

I know :)

Just kinda shuddered at the thought of this whole thing being summed up in 90 mins on the big screen xD

cyks

Marfa-Lights

All the Other Harvey Weinsteins | The New Yorker

'We all seem to have a Harvey story, each one a little different but with essentially the same nauseating pattern and theme. '

'I ended up suing them for the money, which I got, and I never worked with Harvey or the company again. '

'My Harvey story is different, mostly because of timing. '

'The tale of Harvey Weinstein is now a thread that has tangled its way through Hollywood, connecting women, mostly actresses, in a depressingly common way . '

'While my own Harvey story may be different, I have had plenty of Harveys of my own over the years, enough to feel a sickening shock of recognition. '
