I've also heard in the past about people saying willy wonka represents a pedophile. Could this mean gene wilder was a pedo or is it simply referring to Willy Wonka? Or both? We also know that Depp played Willy Wonka in the remake and we all know about his pedophile connections.

There is one line in the movie that clinches it all. Wonky/wilder whispers to Veruca Salt's father. "Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker". Not sure if that line is a direct quote from the book though.

Wonka was a pedo but it more likely had to do with the story writer (Dahl) rather than Wilder. Prime example: remember when Wonka had the children lick the flavored wallpaper invention? Watermelon tastes like watermelon! Bubble gum tastes like bunblegum!!! (Or whatever) the last one is "snozberry tastes like snozberries!!" And watching as a kid you just think..."snozberries" are a whimsical made up term like u see in harry potter. WELL...a few years after wonka, this Dahl guy wrote an adult book where he uses "snozberry" as slang for penis. Wonka was having the kids lick ....well u can put it together...don't even wanna type it.

Was the intent to portray pedophilia? Doubtful. However, Family Guy took it and applied their own twist -- as they have with many true life stories. I am a big fan of the show, but ever since PG broke, I can't unsee how much graphic child-sex jokes there are IN EVERY EPISODE.

I guess what I meant is SOME stories are just that -- stories. Hansel and Grettle for example...Was it a lesson written to teach kids to avoid creepy pedophile women in the woods? Possibly...or it was just a fictional story using plot elements that work well together...?

All I'm saying is not every PIZZA is a PIZZAGATE PIZZA. Hard to unsee it now that we know, I'll give you that!
