when I see stuff like this I really believe we could be living in the end times

' Such a no-nonsense approach is part of the core values of the Satanic Temple, which, despite its name, is an explicitly nontheistic, rationalistic religion. In other words, TST does not believe in a supernatural God or a supernatural Satan. Rather, its members are committed to evidence-based belief — promoting scientific literacy, say — and to humanistic values. Satan is celebrated as the symbolic opposition to organized religion, which they see as an authoritarian, superstitious system. '

Yeah... TOTAL BULLSHIT Satanists are LIARS FIRST. This isn't some new hipster bullshit movement, these cunts worship Satan and are spreading all over this country.

FUCK Vox and fuck the Satanists.

I have a relative who's so devoted to math and scientific theory that he questions traditional religion. However I'd put him in the category of "Agnostic" rather than Satanist. The latter is a different faith entirely and they advocating breaking all of the rules of a moral society. Agnostics and even Atheists do not follow 'Do what thou whilst."

I don't know. Maybe they're right, I don't even know anymore, but this kind of invective just seems odd to me. (Notice "hoaxes," "hysteria," "imagined.")

"A small room off the gallery, filled with newspaper clippings and other historic items, is devoted to the “Gray Faction,” a branch of the Satanic Temple that focuses on covering and dispelling hoaxes like those that caused the “Satanic Panic” of the 1980s. Back then, mass hysteria over imagined ritual Satanic abuse caused the closure of a number of child day care centers across the US despite the fact that no reports of abuse were ever substantiated."

I'm by no means a religious nut, but if I get to choose between light and dark, or good and evil, or God and Not-God...I'm going to choose the first every time. This article was published on Halloween, so I'll cut some slack, but for everyone's sake, let's not fucking normalize Satanism? Is that too much to ask???!

In short... There's "Satan" and there's Satan.

The 'real' Satan is all sorts of fucked up and not to be lauded. There's been many false accusations, though, or, for another way to put it, other deities and so forth have been misrepresented as being "Satan", there's a lot of confusion and it's not made any better by the pieces of shit who claim to be "Satanists" but are actually dickweeds abusing what they know or who haven't a clue wtf they're looking at.

I myself don't claim to be a Satanist, but, there's so much more to the story than what most take into account.

Reading this Vox article today was really a weird experience for me. Let's not normalize this stuff???
