Hollie Greig was a girl with Down's Syndrome. In 2000 she told her mother that her father and brother had been abusing her. They had also pimped her out to a pedophile ring of high ranking people (men and women). The police believed Hollie, citing her as a 'credible and honest witness', but the investigation was stopped by Elish Angiolini .

The authorities forcibly placed Holly's mom, Anne, into a psychiatric institute. Anne asked to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist, who evaluated her as being of sound mind and she was let go.

In 2007 Robert Green went on the campaign trail to be elected and fighting for Hollie. He was arrested for handing out flyers and placed in jail for 12 months. He served only three months.

The police refused to interview any of the abusers. Holly's father and brother moved to Portugal.

The only problem I have with the top part is that Anne was admitted to a psychiatric institute and she asked to see a psychiatrist. That they let her off is benevolent, if this is the case. Anyone in the rest of the world would want to speak to a psychologist to get back their freedom and get the kid back. A psychiatrist is a doctor who prescribes drugs for severe cases of mental illness. A Psychologist is also a doctor, but they are trained on the workings of thought. Typically one would go to a psychologist first and then if the case warranted would go to a Psychiatrist. Correct me if I am wrong, and I am certainly not devaluing content of thread.

If she was placed in a facility, she likely would have just talked to whatever type of doctor they had on staff. They typically don't allow patients to request a certain type of doctor and simply get who is there- but otherwise you are correct on the distinction between the two. Maybe things are done differently in the U.K.?

If you watch the video, they say that they forcibly placed her in the institution and then managed to escape the following day. She then had herself diagnosed by a psychologist/psychiatrist and was deemed to be of sound mind.

This story is so horrific I have tears in my eyes. I heard about it on Richie Allen a while back.

Is it true that some of the mass shootings that occurred in Scotland are actually because kids were going to talk about pedophilia so were all killed off at once? I read that was true of the Dunblane guy Thomas Hamilton .

How many of these horrible stories do people have to read before the brick wall falls on their head?

If you see public officials/law enforcement acting in a way contrary to assuring justice for victims and in a way assuring criminals/pedophiles are protected, you should know something is afoot. And for people to be rewarded for this kind of outrageous behavior? It's DISGUSTNG!!!!

I have personal experience of being involved in a case where there were two corroborating child witnesses but the prosecutor inexplicably presented no case at all. Of fourteen charges against the paedophile every one got not guilty. To this day we've never got any answers. Very mysterious. These legal officials are completely unaccountable and untouchable in Scotland. They can do what they like without any consequences.

So very sorry you went through this. It's disgraceful. It really is. The things we have to endure because of these perverts running the world. At the very least you know you are not alone and that there are others fighting so hard for you and for this to never happen again.
