I haven't paid attention to Michael Ian Black in almost 10 years, so I know very little about his books. I always found it odd that he started writing children's books. He used to be on MTV's "The State" which was a younger edgier sketch comedy show, like Saturday Night Live, but actually cool. He also had a show called "Stella" which was kind of funny in an absurd way, it didn't seem very vulgar or anything. His humor has never been vulgar, he's nothing like, say, Bob Saget.

But yea I mean, either he is joking about it only or he is joking about something that he actually does. I don't know. I recently discovered that he was Jewish, I guess Black is a fairly common Jewish last name.
