I understand. But if you listen through, we have different data rates reported now, different batches of data reported, more independent testing, and a lot more (e.g., he mentions Sy Hersh - what is that signalling?). So this is clearly updated and more complete info, and coming from Binney personally.

He also doesn't confirm any "problems" that the detractors that came out almost instantly in early August, which to me is saying they were crap. So my guess is there is a bigger message here - beyond the news I reported in the headline.

@Millennial_Falcon , this was debunked almost immediately a couple months ago.

This story first appeared in the Nation Magazine based on a report from VIPS and the Nation had to do another story to do an update. The reached out to an independent expert to review the their story and he offered several scenarios where it could have been a hack.

The group VIPS that released the report, had half their members refuse to sign on to their report because they were ignored very plausible scenarios that contradicted the report. The Nation published their rebuttal https://www.thenation.com/article/a-leak-or-a-hack-a-forum-on-the-vips-memo/

There were two main errors.

They were wrong about transfer rates being possible.
They assumed they were looking at the initial transfer of DATA and not the last in a chain of transfers.

There a giant flaw in the inside job hypothesis and that is there's no way to if metadata that VIPS looked at shows the dates and times the files were downloaded as opposed to the dates/times of multiple possible transfers AFTER THE DATA WAS DOWNLOADED.

There is also no evidence from the available metadata that can definitively state when the transfer or copying of the data took place , nor does the data prove that “Guccifer 2.0” had direct access to the DNC server or that the data was located on the DNC system when it was allegedly copied on July 5, 2016.
