Donald Trump Jr. asked a Russian lawyer at the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting whether she had evidence of illegal donations to the Clinton Foundation, the lawyer told the Senate Judiciary Committee in answers to written questions obtained exclusively by NBC News.

and Trump Jr did talk to his father about that meeting, but he wouldn't tell Congress any details because of "attorney-client privilege."

Donald Trump Jr. refused on Wednesday to provide a congressional committee details of a July telephone conversation with his father about a meeting last year at which Trump campaign officials had expected to receive damaging information from the Russian government about Hillary Clinton.

Testifying in a closed session before the House Intelligence Committee, Mr. Trump claimed that his conversation over the summer with his father, two days after The New York Times disclosed the June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower in Manhattan, was protected under attorney-client privilege because lawyers for both men were on the call.

Trump Jr just put a big target on that conversation with his Dad for the special prosecutor to follow.

Also emails show there was follow up on that meeting to the Trump campaing, despite Trump Jr's claim. And the emailing connected their conversations to the DNC hack where that hack became public.

Thanks for these links and information, Are_we_sure! Bill Browder is increasingly coming under the microscope these days. Very interesting that Putin has accused him of murders. I hadn't heard that before.

I'm still mystified as to why that meeting and Trump's meeting with Putin were characterized as being about "Russian adoptions". That is such a puzzle.

Also, how is any of this connected to Seth Rich and the DNC hack? That, of course, is the big question. Natalya stated that she did not know him, but you can see from the line of questioning by the Senate that they were zeroing in on a possible connection.

How on earth could Natalya be connected to Seth Rich? Any ideas on that?

I've read through most of it, and she confirms that her main objective in meeting with Don Trump Jr was to inform people about the dubious money laundering activities of Bill Browder and the Ziff Brothers.

This all becomes a lot less mystifying when you just realize they are lying.

The question you should be asking is Why Are They Lying? Why did candidate Trump deny any contacts with Russians, why did Jared Kushner deny this on the security clearance application?

You obviously understand the Putin accusing Browder of murders is just a smear campaign right? It makes it harder for him to travel because he could get arrested. Canada just passed its Magnitsky Act and Putin is pissed about that.

I know nothing about this. I searched the transcript you linked to for Seth and got zero hits and DNC had like one hit.

I still believe The Trump Tower meeting was and intel dangle, seeing if the Trump team would be eager to cooperate AND seeing if the FBI weren't waiting there to arrest them. Once that was out of the way, they could start making plans.
