Just noticed the post Katie. I commend you for having the courage to come forward and by doing that you will be helping a multitude of children and adults that have suffered the same or worse as you have. We have had many cases like yours, and also SRA cases as well that came forward to help others. I am encouraged by people like you, for I believe that the more that come out with their story the more it will push others to tell their story. This is always good therapy for the victim and spreads these stories to the public. In order to help stop these crimes the truth must come out. Thank you again. The Best to You and Your Family and May You Have A Peaceful and Blessed New Year.

I'm not Katie. I was just posting a link to her AMA that was at the top of Reddit. You should post your very nice sentiments to her AMA though. Sorry for any confusion. She has a book called "Buried Memories". We should all buy a copy.

This one should get a share flair, imo.

My name is Katie Beers and I am a survivor. I made national headlines 25 years ago today on December 28th, 1992 after I was kidnapped by a family friend and then held in a underground bunker for 17 horrendous days. Ask Me Anything. : IAmA
