My interpretation of the one with the honey is more like worker bees (& a queen bee). Most modern music is based on Crowley or satanism. In some ways it's sort of a stick to the man (and religion) thing. I have no problem with that type of satanism but if they are hurting people, in any way, I have big problem with them. I'm not religious but I'm against harming others and being stuck in the corporeal/material/sensual realm. I also believe that Jesus existed (satanists I know don't) and he was a rebel hero. <3

Ed's brother Dean is also a member of the band. Their father was a Southern Baptist minister which influenced their spiritual background; however, Ed has cited that Collective Soul is not a Christian rock band.

I just googled this and the Wiki entry for that song has a quote from them denying they were a Christian band.
